How do you all monitor the work being done by contractors and third parties?
At present, we have 80 active contractors (out of a total 400 consultants across our Professional and Managed Services practices).
I would like to gather feedback from Directors, Project Managers and fellow Consultants on performance, but am not sure how to begin the process.
Anyone currently gathering and tracking feedback?

Within my PSA I can see where the contractors are working at any given time as well as track timecards for the resources. My engagement managers (project managers) are closest to the work and are encouraged to provide both positive and negative feedback on the partners to the resource management and delivery management teams. We record the feedback within our resource management team shared documentation since the information can be sensitive for further sharing. Both types of feedback are usually shared with the partner manager and the resource for improvement and relationship building. Partners (contractors) are also encouraged to share feedback on our team members so we can pair up project managers and team members for successful teams in the future or avoid personality issues if needed.

Metrics I would consider tracking:
Certification/Skill set of a partner
Past performance (review from Project Manager or team mates on the project)
Prior rates of the partner (any variance by skill or region)
Partner shadowing/mentoring required of new partner hires
Find-A-Partner functionality (this is included in our PSA so sales folks can search for partners who can help scope or sell a customer solution)–can search by region, expertise, partner type (see below re: agreement types)
Partner agreement details-we have varying levels of partnership and it is all accessible to see which level and agreement the partner has signed
Late timecards (any consistent patterns/trends)
Submitted candidates/quality of candidates
