This session shares real-world lessons learned from addressing these foundational challenges, focusing on what actually improves skills data, capacity planning, and forecasting. Designed as a peer conversation rather than a prescriptive framework, attendees will gain practical insight into simplifying data, building more realistic forecasts, and preparing resource management teams to effectively leverage AI.

LOCATION: Cabinet

DESCRIPTION:

Most resource management teams are being asked to become more strategic—while still operating in highly reactive, operational models.

At the same time, everything around them is changing. AI is entering the workforce. Clients are expecting outcomes, not effort. And the definition of the “ideal team” is shifting faster than most organizations can keep up with.

The result? A growing gap between what resource management needs to be—and what it is today.

In this session, we’ll bring that gap into focus using new research from Kantata and RMI, then look ahead to what resource management will actually look like in the next few years. Most importantly, we’ll break down what you can do now to start closing that gap—practically, not theoretically. If you’re trying to figure out how to navigate AI, improve visibility, and move beyond reactive staffing, this session will give you a clear, grounded path forward.
