RMI Connect returned for its seventh year with a focus on what it means to fully engage with the profession, the work, and the intelligence shaping the future of Resource Management.
Held across two dynamic mini-events on September 22nd and 24th, RMI Connect 2026 explored three important priorities for the profession: Strengthen the Discipline. Advance the Profession. Engage the Intelligence.
Day one focused on strengthening Resource Management as a strategic business capability and continuing to advance the role and impact of Resource Management professionals. Sessions explored the journey from reactive staffing to strategic Resource Management, the importance of strong processes and data, and challenging long-standing assumptions about how Resource Management should operate.
Day two turned toward the growing role of intelligence in Resource and Workforce Management. As data, analytics, AI, and emerging technologies continue to evolve, attendees explored how organizations can move beyond reactive decision-making toward more proactive, predictive, and strategic approaches.
Across both days, one message was clear: the future of Resource Management is about more than adopting new technology. It is about strengthening the fundamentals, elevating the profession, and using new forms of intelligence to make better decisions and create greater business impact.
Participants heard from leaders across a wide range of project-based service delivery organizations, including Professional and Consulting Services, Accounting, Audit, Tax and Advisory firms, and internal Enterprise and IT organizations. RMI Connect also featured leading PSA, PPM, and Resource Management technology providers demonstrating how emerging capabilities are changing forecasting, capacity planning, workforce decision-making, and the way work gets done.
Interactive Myth Busters sessions and Resource Management Exchange roundtables gave attendees an opportunity to connect with peers, challenge conventional thinking, share experiences, and turn the ideas presented throughout the event into practical conversations they could take back to their organizations.
