Advisory Board

Advisory Board Mission

The RMI established an Advisory Board comprised of resource and workforce management experts across geographic markets and services disciplines in which the RMI is targeting. The Advisory Board meets monthly and provides a range of input and advice to the RMI regarding its’ plans, activities, continued process innovation and development, RMCP® curriculum input and more. The Advisory Board continues to provide valuable input to the ongoing task of building the resource and workforce management community the Institute serves.

Martha Arias

Sr. Director, Resource Management, JFF

Martha Arias is a Sr. Director of Resource Management at JFF, a Nonprofit which drives transformation of the American workforce and Education systems to achieve equitable economic advancement for all. She has over 17 years of experience working in the areas of Project and Portfolio Management, Business Operations, as well as Resource Management. Across the past 8 years, Martha has been laser focused on Resource Management, launching three RMOs across the areas of IT , Product Development, and Nonprofit/Professional Services. In her current role, Martha oversees the Resource Management function for 200-300 resources. Martha is passionate about RM adoption strategies, including partnering with business partners to standardize processes, launching enabling technologies, displaying the benefits of resource planning and forecasting, and ensuring effective training to drive adoption. Martha holds an MBA from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami in addition to her RMCP®, Advanced RMCP®, and PMP® certifications.

David Binnings

Sr. Director, GTM Services Strategy and Operations, DocuSign

David Binnings is the Sr. Director, GTM Services Strategy and Operations for DocuSign supporting the Professional Services and Customer Success organization. With over 20 years’ experience in Professional Services and Support spanning across various industries, he has held positions in Leadership, Resource Management, Program/Project Management, Operations, and Consulting. These unique perspectives have allowed David to build and transform Resource Management organizations to meet the ever-changing landscape of today’s Services businesses. David has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s in Business Administration, and holds both PMP® and RMCP® certifications.

Michael Lane

IT Director Resource Management, The Cincinnati Insurance Company

Mike Lane is the IT Director Resource Management at The Cincinnati Insurance Company (CIC). As an insurance industry veteran with 21 years of experience, he previously served as an underwriter, project manager, program manager and group manager overseeing business analysts. In 2013, Mike was a founding member of CIC’s Resource Management Office, where he helped establish standard operating procedures, a service suite and service level agreements. He currently manages a group of managers and officers and has responsibility for approximately 400 IT associates. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Cincinnati in addition to numerous certifications across the insurance, IT, resource management and communications industries.

Sam Larkins

EMEA Head of Resource Management, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP

Sam Larkins is the EMEA Head of Resource Management at Norton Rose Fulbright, a global law firm. Leading a team of talented UK-based Resource Management professional, Sam oversees deployment of 500+ fee earners across EMEA, all whilst driving multiple EMEA-wide strategic initiatives. He has over 10 years of expertise within Resource Management gained from both the professional services and the technology sector across both the Consulting and Advisory practices. During this time Sam has a wealth of experience in resource management implementation, team management, data analytics and continuous process improvement. Sam is a Resource Management Certified Professional (RMCP®) and has a degree in Business Studies (BA Hons) gained from Nottingham Trent University.

Claudia Moreno

RMO Manager, SweetRush

Claudia Moreno is the RMO Manager at SweetRush, an e-Learning agency. She has centralized and consolidated the Resource Management functions for the company, providing strategic planning to optimize the teams performance for in-house and professional services. With more than 13 years experience in advertising, strategy, planning and management in the marketing and digital advertising industry, she understands the challenges and needs of Resource Management for the agency market. Claudia holds an MBA in Marketing, an associate degree in Strategic Control of Organizational Management and has an RMCP® certification.

Chris Nakovics

Global Resource Management Leader, ServiceNow

Chris Nakovics is the Customer Outcomes Global Resource Management Leader at ServiceNow, responsible for strategic resource management, business process operations and shared services. Chris has more than 15 years of expertise focused on advancing the discipline of resource management, implementing partner frameworks, enhancing and accelerating skills development, as well as, continuous process improvements. Chris holds an MBA in Information Systems Management from Dowling College and a BBA from Hofstra University, along with his RMCP® certification.

Orlando Quesada

Director – Technical Program Manager, VISA

Orlando Quesada is a Director – Project Manager at VISA where he supports the Regional Solutions and Digital Partnerships team for the Latin America and Caribbean region. He has almost 20 years of project, portfolio, program management, and resource management experience in the utilities, HR, and fintech space. He has also worked extensively to help implement and increase adoption of PPM tools across IT and Product Development and standardize processes and best practices. In addition to PMP® and RMCP® certifications, Orlando holds an MBA from Barry University and a BBA in Management Information Systems from Florida International University.

Christine Robinson

Managing Director, Resource Management, Baker Tilly

Christine Robinson is the Resource Management Leader for Baker Tilly, a top 10 CPA Advisory firm. In this role, she leads a team of talented Resource Managers based in cities throughout the US. Together, they bring the firm’s workforce planning strategy to life by driving organizational performance while enhancing the team member experience. She joined Baker Tilly following a decade in Human Resources and Resource Management for global leaders in finance and professional services. Christine holds a Master’s in Human Resource Management from Fordham University, a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Bowling Green State University, and is RMCP® certified. Born and raised in New York City, Christine is now based in Pennsylvania with her husband and children.

Christine Thomas

EVP Talent Alignment Group, FORVIS

Christine Thomas is the Executive Vice President of Talent Alignment at FORVIS, LLP, a top 10 CPA Firm. Prior to joining her current firm, Christine spent a decade with a national accounting firm where she served as a tax professional as well as serving in a variety of internal client service functions including financial operations and capacity and resource management. In her current role, Christine is focused on building and leading a dedicated Resource Management team, providing strategic support in deploying talent across Assurance, Tax and Advisory practices. Christine holds a Master’s of Accounting from Kennesaw State University, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Resource Management Certified Professional (RMCP®).

Gary Ward

Director, Global Resource Staffing, Guidewire Software

Gary Ward is the founding member and Director of a centralized Resource Management Office at Guidewire Software, Inc. Since beginning as the first Resource Staffing Manager for the company, he is now leading a global team of RMs who support the Professional Services Business across AMER, EMEA & APAC. He currently oversees a first-class team who manage the allocation and redeployment of approximately 1000+ consultants worldwide, all while performing high-volume demand management and capacity planning responsibilities. He has a depth of experience in process efficiency, engagement lifecycle support, business operations, data analytics and quality control. Gary is a Resource Management Certified Professional (RMCP®) and holds qualifications in Business Management & Psychology.

Jodi Ward

Manager, Resource Management Office, Esri Professional Services

Jodi Ward, RMCP®, has over 11 years of experience with Esri, the global market leader in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS). As Manager of Esri’s Resource Management Office, she worked to stand up the Resource Management function within the Professional Services division, and leads a team of 6 in effectively deploying their dynamic workforce of over 600 GIS experts, to support customers around the world in implementing and realizing the full value of the Esri Platform within their organization. In addition, the team supports development of their people and execution of Professional Services’ strategic business priorities. Jodi also works as part of the Esri Professional Services Automation System (PSA) implementation team, responsible for evaluation, selection, implementation and championing of their PSA platform.

Nick Cochran

Principal Consultant

Nick Cochran is a Principal Consultant with RTM Consulting. Nick brings over 14 years of experience in PS strategy, operations, delivery, and management in technology services. He has led teams responsible for technology and industry consulting, enterprise software implementations, training development and delivery, and managed services. Nick was an early adopter of the Just-in-Time Resourcing® brand of human capital management solutions and was in the first-ever RMCP® class in 2014. Nick is a lead instructor for the Training Practice which includes teaching classes for the RMCP® certification program. Nick holds an MBA and a BS in Business Management from Anderson University.

Ryan Childers

Managing Director

Ryan Childers is the Managing Director of the Resource Management Institute (RMI). With specific expertise in Global Resource Management, Ryan was an early adopter and implementer of the Just-in-Time Resourcing® brand of human capital management solutions. His passion for the resource management discipline is central to his role leading this important industry institute. Prior to leading the RMI, Ryan spent several years leading the Training practice at RTM Consulting, a role he maintains today, and as a consultant, helping clients accelerate growth and implement operational best practices, delivery methodologies and Just-in-Time Resourcing®. Ryan holds an MS in Information and Communication Sciences and BS in Management from Ball State University.
